Relax Lures was started in late 1993 by Witold Kowalczyk in Bielawa, Poland. Witold, a second generation fisherman, was born in Poland and moved to the U.S.A. in the late 1970’s. When returning to visit Poland every year he would bring American designed soft lures with him on fishing trips.
Witold noticed that not all lure shapes, colors and action were effective on Polish and European lakes and rivers. He then decided to start creating new original lures and colors for the European market while using the production technology and knowledge from the U.S.A. Since the early 1990’s the company manufactures some of the best of soft lures, and thousands of color combinations, which are used by anglers enthusiastically around the world today.
Witold Kowalczyk’s fresh and creative ideas in the fishing industry helped revolutionize the European fishing world. In the late 1990’s he created the Kopyto Lure which still is one of the most effective and copied soft lures in the world to this day.
