The First News (TFN) delivers informative news, in-depth features, entertaining articles and quality videos from across Poland. Founded in 2018, TFN provides dynamic stories written by a dedicated team of professional journalists based in Warsaw from the UK, US and Poland.

Inspired by Joseph Conrad’s essay titled First News, the founders of TFN named this news service after the Polish writer’s forgotten work, which foretold events of WWI. Conrad was a man of foresight, many talents, and an inspiring author.

Today, TFN aims to uphold the best traditions of English language journalism, produce local and national on-the-ground reportage, adhere to basic journalistic principles, and remain impartial and objective.
